Brian and I went to see The King’s Speech last night and we can’t quit talking about how amazing it was! While Bri was really into the history, I fell in LOVE with the vintage wallpapers and furniture as well as with the hats that Helena Bonham Carter’s character sports. And not to mention Colin Firth, whom I fell in love with as Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones’s Diary and again in Love Actually, and then in Mama Mia. . . oh hell, how can you resist that British accent? And as King Henry VI, I love him even more.
This room was just beautiful.
Look at this, gorgeous wallpaper!!
I couldn’t find any photos except this one from the movie showing the amazing wallpapers. So below is just a sample of the lusciousness similar to what was in the movie.
If you are at all into vintage anything, you MUST go see this movie so you can not only drool over the set but also the hats!
How about this baby blue?
I love the rouging (or whatever you call it) on this one.
But this one was definitely my favorite, too bad you can’t see the detail very well in this photo. By the end of the movie, I wished I was living in England in the 30’s just so I could dress like her!
If you haven’t yet, go see this movie. Highly recommended.
